Membership of the ISRT is open to individuals, surveyors, existing damp proofing companies and organisations. They must have a professional attitude and an interest in achieving and maintaining our standards of customer service and property care.

 

The ISRT has the most rigorous standards required for its membership in the UK.

 

The ISRT is a non profit making organisation of absolute principles.

We believe that choosing an ISRT Member will eliminate the risk of inviting companies, with no back ground checks, into your property. 

A cowboy would NOT pass entrance to the ISRT. Our background checks protect the public from such risks. Our background checks are without doubt the most rigorous in the entire industry. 
 

Using an ISRT member gives you the complete confidence that if in the unlikely event something goes wrong, we are here to resolve that issue, and ultimately to uphold any guarantee for a member, and if necessary will fully compensate you financially.

The ISRT provides free training for surveyors and technicians for its members. 

Other courses include Structural water Proofing a basic induction course ideal for loss adjusters and insurance companies, and a Condensation and Control course. 

Charges apply for non members.

Our organisation is fully disciplined with a strict code of conduct. 

The ISRT is in business to reassure the public that our members must deliver their promises in full or face expulsion.

 

Clients, members of the public, building societies, banks, building inspectors, heritage organisations, councils, housing associations and other money lending associations can be assured that our members will deliver the highest standard of customer care and quality in the remedial treatments industry.

 

The ISRT is committed to defect diagnosis, structural surveying, construction, renovation and restoration of all types of property in the UK.

 

All our members are fully trained in all aspects of structural dampness and remedial treatments and have passed the most intensive integrity checks ever imposed on any contractor in our industry.

 

To gain membership of the ISRT the applicants must meet the following unique criteria:

 

  1. Applicants must submit 5 completed contract details over a duration of 2 years for the ISRT to examine and scrutinise.
  2. The ISRT will at random inspect 2 of these completed contracts and these must have been completed to the highest standard in our industry.
  3. Applicants must have a minimum trading of 1 year, be VAT registered and supply 2 trade or professional references.
  4. Applicants must supply last year's accounts.
  5. Applications must not have a criminal record or conviction for dishonesty.

 

After confirmation of the above criteria the ISRT will offer associate membership for one year followed by membership and ultimately fellowship.

 

The members of the public and others can be reassured that in the event of any ISRT members cessation of trading for whatever reason, the ISRT will provide compensation to meet any future guarantee claim, for up to the sum of £10,000 (full members only)or undertake all re-treatment works (including re-plastering if applicable) for free.
